Six months ago, I started this crazy blog with the intention of writing a story that required no preparation, no research, and no forethought, just a bunch of made up nonsense. I have discovered that even this sort of writing is not a walk in the cake, to procure a phrase from the very wise Dikemebe Mutombo. With open-ended nonsense, a writer starts to wonder what the point is and it's easy to give up. Paradoxically, the same thing can happen when a story is too complex or intricate; one just gives up.
Well, I don't know that I've given up, but I do know I have been unproductive on this page lately, in part because I started another novel, one I'm not prepared to share with the general public for free.
I realize my absence disappoints my fans, but hopefully neither of them will take it too hard.
